Meet the El Dorado Hills Town Center Team
President and Chief Executive Officer
The Mansour Company
In 1958 Tony Mansour came to the United States as an immigrant from Lebanon with only the shirt on his back and a dream. Twenty years later after owning and operating a number of successful businesses in the Los Angeles Area Tony heard about a Town for sale. He fell in love with the area and formed an investment group and purchased 8,000 undeveloped acres in EDH.
In 1988 Mansour gained entitlement for 3,500 acres of golf oriented planned community, which is now called Serrano. It was sold shortly thereafter to a group of builders and investors from the Sacramento area. When Mansour gets asked a question why did he buy El Dorado Hills? The only answer he gives is “ignorance.” For the first several years Mansour visited various successful planned communities in the Country and developed a vision for El Dorado Hills. The vision of creating a new golf oriented planned community was validated by the Urban Land Institute in 1985.
Over the years most of the 8,000 acres that consisted of residential land were disposed of except the commercial land, which is now called The El Dorado Hills Town Center. It has approximately 2.5 million sq. ft. of retail and office entitlement. For almost a decade Tony Mansour and his son Louie concentrated on planning and building the Town Center that has become the downtown of El Dorado Hills and the hub for community for events, entertainment, food, lodging, and many successful businesses. It has also become a destination not only for El Dorado County but for the Sacramento Region.
Mansour will continue to plan and develop more retail and office within the El Dorado Hills Town Center over the coming years.
